The HCII2023 Design Café provides a venue for the discussion and rethinking of important HCI topics in the domain of "Human-Environment Interactions". Inspired by the World Café method, the HCII2023 Design Café aims to provide a small-group forum for productive, critical discussions in a moderated face-to-face group situation and to identify innovative approaches for transfering ideas into practice.
The topics to be discussed will be informed, in part, by:
(i) Selected findings of the White Paper “Seven HCI Grand Challenges”
(prepared by a group of 32 experts involved in the community of the HCII Conference series during 2018-2019)
which arise in the emerging landscape of rapid technological evolution towards more intelligent interactive technologies; this is coupled with ithe ncreased and widened societal needs,
as well as the individual and collective expectations that HCI, as a discipline, is called upon to address.
(ii) A selection from the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015 as a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.
